This traditional way of training teaches easy maneuverability. It not only puts a form and class to the way a horse handles himself, but to his appearance also while he is doing it.
Ed Connell has written this book from his life time of experience of handling horses. His experience has been with all kinds of horses from the green ones to the rough string, and starting horses in the Hackamore and finishing them as strictly Spade bit reined horses.
Connell has set down in writing this historical method of bridling horses not only for the benefit of today's horsemen, but for the future generations of horsemen, and posterity.
